Inspired by Japanese animé and Disney animated features, Jimenez experimented with various computer programs and integrated their applications to create a medium for digital animation. His earliest animated works were high school projects produced using MS Paint, Microsoft Powerpoint, and Windows Movie Maker. Recent animated projects utilize GIMP and PowerDirector, and demonstrate the artist's developing level of proficiency with the medium - Jimenez's experimentation in the field of animation has enhanced his understanding and skill  in narrative storytelling, audio / video production, time management, anatomy in animation, and art direction.
